Y tú, ¿por qué eres negro? // And you, why are you black?
The discovery of the presence of african people who were be used as slaves between the fifteenth and nineteenth centuries in the birthplace of my grandfather, Burguillos del Cerro, is the beginning of this personal journey, where I face my negritude and assert myself as an African descendant.
Why am I black? What is it being a black person? What is the social construction we make of the black individual? Or what is the relationship between Spain, as a nation, and the negritude? Those are some of the issues and questions that are building the project.
