Lagos is believed to be one of the most dangerous cities in Africa and still an economic focal point in the continent that attracts thousands of business people throughout the year. Bullet proof cars and tainted windows are more than common in the largest African city.

Walking the streets of Lagos might require some preparation and portraying the city’s activity in an honest and non-manipulative way is a challenge starting from the base that the presence of a camera alters the scene inevitably.
The combination of these two ideas made me decide to record the city from inside a car with tainted windows, the only way I found to remain transparent, and to focus (literally) on the window itself.

The result is a pictorial portrait that allows us to see daily life in Lagos without filters.
